On behalf of the WVHIMSS Board, the WVHIMSS Programming Committee is very excited to announce our Spring Education/Networking Session and Annual Business Meeting. The education sessions will focus on “Emerging Technologies in HIT,” covering how technologies such as the iPad, smart phones and social media are changing the delivery of care and associated challenges.
As an attendee, you will –

Better understand how mobile devices, like tablets & smart phones, are being used to streamline operations and improve patience care at the point of delivery.

Learn ways that social media is being used to improve collaboration among healthcare professionals and how this technology is improving the relationship between the patient and provider.

Participate in a CIO/CMIO Roundtable discussion to learn how these technologies are changing the way that information is handled within their facilities, and how they are addressing the privacy and security concerns raised by social and mobile technologies.
